Aerospace, space and defense covers everything that flies or operates above the atmosphere and the industrial base that builds it — launch vehicles and their engines, satellites and the buses that carry payloads, spacecraft for cargo and crew, lunar and planetary landers, missile and munitions systems, military and commercial aircraft, avionics, and the ground segment of antennas, networks and mission software that makes any of it useful. Two constraints shape everything, including the website: export control (ITAR and EAR) limits what may be published or shown at all, and government acquisition rules determine how a company can even be paid. Texas is a genuine center of gravity in this industry — SpaceX is headquartered at Starbase and tests engines at McGregor, Firefly builds rockets and lunar landers in the Austin metro, Axiom Space and Intuitive Machines operate out of Houston alongside NASA's Johnson Space Center, and AST SpaceMobile builds direct-to-device satellites in Midland — so regional content is not a stretch here, it is the story.
